Ryan & Kelly’s Christmas Wedding in Florida: Festive, Fun, and Full of Personality
Mar 29 2026 | By: Nicholl Hyatt
Ryan and Kelly’s wedding felt like a natural continuation of their story. After a holiday proposal at the Florida Botanical Gardens surrounded by lights and Christmas music, it made sense that their wedding day leaned fully into the season, in a way that felt joyful and intentional without crossing into cheesy territory.
A Ceremony Worth Waiting For
The ceremony took place outdoors beneath a towering oak tree, with soft white fabric draped over the trellis framing the altar. Red and green florals added just enough seasonal color without overpowering the setting.
In the days leading up to the wedding, the forecast had everyone watching the radar closely. Florida loves to keep us on our toes. When a brief shower rolled through just before the ceremony, the timeline was shifted slightly to wait it out. That small adjustment paid off. The skies cleared, the light softened, and the ceremony unfolded calmly instead of feeling rushed. It was one of those behind-the-scenes decisions that quietly made the entire day better.
Style, Energy, and a Very Fun Wedding Party
The wedding party looked incredible. The bridesmaids wore deep green dresses that photographed beautifully against the natural Florida backdrop. Ryan wore a red vest and tie, while his groomsmen coordinated with green ties and pocket squares. The groomsmen were a lively, entertaining group, clearly comfortable together and fully invested in celebrating. Their energy carried through the entire day and especially onto the dance floor.
Dinner, Dancing, and a Table Dash to Remember
The reception flowed easily from the start. Ryan and Kelly opened the dancing with their first dance under the stars, setting the tone for a night that stayed upbeat from beginning to end.
One of the most memorable moments of the reception was their Table Dash. During the song Run, Run Rudolph, Ryan and Kelly moved quickly from table to table, stopping just long enough to grab photos with each group of guests. It was fast, fun, and kept the energy high, while making sure everyone felt included without pulling people away from the party later.
The dance floor stayed full all night. At one point, Ryan and his best man recreated the iconic scene from Titanic, complete with the best man dramatically wearing Kelly’s veil. It was unexpected, hilarious, and absolutely one of those moments you’ll remember forever, especially now that there’s photographic evidence!
Seasonal Details That Tied It All Together
Holiday touches were woven throughout the day in a way that felt natural rather than overdone. The cake was a classic white design finished with frosted holly leaves and berries, a subtle nod to the season that fit right in with the rest of the celebration. As Marshmallow World played, it was one of those small, quiet moments that balanced out the high-energy parts of the night.
From the lights strung over the dance floor to the unexpected appearance of falling snow during their exit, the day was full of moments that felt thoughtful, joyful, and entirely their own. It was the kind of wedding that stayed fun without trying too hard, and memorable in all the ways that matter.
